To have a cultural and performing art center to serve the community in the South Bay.
Start a permanent collection of art for the community.
Public Art projects
Community involvement in the arts and music.
Provide art related community service opportunities.
Encourage and promote local artists and musicians.
Provide access to low or no cost art and culture activities for the community.
Improve community spaces.
CVCAG is based in Chula Vista but our doors are open to all communities and artists that wish to support or participate.
CVCAG was founded by local residents who noticed a great need for art and culture related activities in the South Bay. After researching for several months and organizing a group of members and volunteers we filed for non-profit status in March of 2011 and received confirmation in the fall of 2011. CVCAG applied for the Visual Performing Arts Grant in February of 2011 and were awarded the grant in the summer of 2011.
